MAMMOTH MOUNTAIN - NOW OPEN!

"Mammoth opened Monday, November 3rd, with an 8-14 inch base, and the mountain just received another four inches in the last 24 hours, according to the ski area’s official Web site. Transworld SNOW was on the scene Tuesday, and reported that “there was a small crew out no doubt digging for every nook, cranny, stump and wind lip for a taste of that early season pop.”

"Joani Lynch, Mammoth’s communications director, said that so far, things are looking positive for the season, especially with the recent snowfall, which gives the Mountain early season momentum. “Over the years we have seen a big difference in visitation when we have good conditions early. Our booking pace is very close to last year so far, and we have an advantage being so close to our core market of Southern California.”
