it's been a long time since i went skating - but skating definitely was a huge part of my life when i was younger and i guess in a way - it still sort of is because a lot of what i do is/was inspired by skating. most of my life - i always knew i wanted to be involved with skating, skateboarding industry, board sports in general, or something along those lines.
anyhow, enough rambling on. this brings me to my next point - SK8BOARDING FOR A DAY which is being sponsored by Dom over at Brooklyn Projects, P.E.A.C.E. Academy, and the T.J. Martell Foundation. the event will be held on August 9th.
this will give everyone a chance to skate with some of the best pros and also a $20 minimum donation will score you a limited edition shirt! so basically, it's a free shirt since you were going to donate anyways right?! it's for a good cause and supports AIDS and cancer research and numerous foundations.
there were also be an after event which will include an autograph session, food, beverages, music, giveaways, and a raffle.
