NEW BF GOODRICH TIRES
ever since i lowered my car - i've been way too lazy to get the steering aligned and adjusted - which is a huge deal since the whole car is sitting almost 2-inches lower. i was also way too lazy to even get them rotated as well which make the lifetime of the tire much, much shorter. when you lower any car and don't get it aligned - the wheels start to bald on the inside on the front tires and the outside on the back. this is very dangerous if overlooked. my tires were bald as shit so i had to run my ass over to America's Tire Co. i don't normally like to take my car there because 1). they always fuck something up, 2). because they don't know shit, and 3). they don't keep a good stock of after-market type tires and especially not tires that will fit 19-inch rims.
so anyways, the guy who helped me was a complete moron and told me he had some Falken FK 452 in the same size of the tires i brought in. i was stoked because i like Falken's. $877.37 and 2 hours later i have brand new Falken's outfitted onto my rims. it takes me ALL the way home to start hearing the fucking thing rubbing out on bumps and dips! i didn't even get a chance to look at the tires and my car until i got home and i realized that just looking at it - you can tell it wasn't the right size.
once i got back to the shop - the guy asked "is it lowered?" - are you fucking kidding me?! look at the car! another dick head tried to tell me that it was because "the car was too low" - "no it's because your sales person sold me tires that were too thick, get the fuck out of here with this 'too low' bullshit." even my girlfriend, who knows nothing about cars said it didn't look right. i ended up having to take my ass ALL the way back to America's Tire Co. they ended up selling me a nicer set of tires for the same price and they mounted the tires before everyone else as an incentive for me not to get irate.
moral of the story: don't take your car into America's Tire Co. unless you have 3-4 hours and a Saturday to waste.
