a book i just finished re-reading was Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas; A Savage Journey To The Heart of The American Dream by Hunter S. Thompson. the movie was on recently and this is what encouraged me to re-read the book. i own the original version of the book which has a graphic embossed onto the cover and original artwork by Ralph Steadman. the book and movie are all time classics and are definitely in a category of favorites for me. if you've never seen the movie or have read the book - i would start with the book first. one thing about the movie that is great is that it is very close to the depictions within the book. the movie was not 'Hollywoodized' and destroyed like most books to movies.
