ok, so i've been on a BlackBerry posting binge. so what? anyhow, here is some news for all of you dummies on Verizon. this is a picture of the 'Thunder' which is a code name for the RIM BlackBerry touch-screen or 9500 until the device gets an official name. a BlackBerry representative told me that an designer that was employed by Apple and that worked on the iPhone was recruited by RIM to design a touch-screen BlackBerry device. i am not 100% sure if the picture is confirmed or official but it does look legit. here is the exciting part i mentioned for the Verizon people - the phone will have LIFETIME exclusivity for Verizon BUT there will also be a sales quota and if Verizon doesn't meet it (which they most likely won't) they will lost the rights to be the only carrier for it. i was also given information that RIM is developing a slide-out device as well. will be interesting to see...
