April 19th - May 31st at Canvas-Los Angeles will play host to an exhibition of sorts - showcasing tattoo pieces and artwork from such great tattooers and artists such as Shawn Barber, Grime, REVOK, SABER, Jersey Joe, CIV (formerly of the band CIV: probably too young to remember, haha), NORM, and many more. the gallery will be curated by NORM of AWR/MSK. i am guessing that the show will try to show the correlation between graffiti, art, and tattooing. such a mash-up of tattooers and graffiti artists will be interesting enough to see by itself. again, the show will be held at CANVAS-LA which is one of the coolest galleries - not only in LA but anywhere! it is one of the few if not the only gallery where the type of art you might enjoy (if you are interested in my blog) can be displayed while LA is full of hootsy-cootsy/hoitey-toitey bullshit artwork. CANVAS-LA is located on Fairfax Ave. which i consider the very hub of the subculture i work so hard at bringing you through the medium of this blog. there are so many interesting boutiques, shops, and galleries to check out on while on Fairfax - but i would definitely take a stop into CANVAS-LA to check out this short running exhibition!
