an inside source revealed to me that May 4th will launch an improved application formerly called MobiTV which basically allowed you to watch about 40 channels on certain phones (3G phones). AT&T is now re-branding the application and also improving the quality of the broadcasting - yep, that's right! real-dea/real time broadcast television - no buffering time whatsoever. in regards to battery life - it was said to be roughly equivalent to a continuous active voice call. so far the only phones that i know of being compatible with MOBILETV are the Samsung Access and the LG Vu. the three pricing packages are as follows:
Mobile TV Limited - $13/month: Includes four channels; Fox Mobile, CBS Mobile, NBC, and NBC News
Mobile TV Basic - $15/month: Includes 9 channels; Fox Mobile, CBS mobile, NBC, NBC News, Comedy Central, MTV, Nickelodeon, CNN Mobile and ESPN
Mobile TV Plus - $30/month: Includes the nine channels listed above as well as an exclusive Sony Pictures channel
