THE BREAKDOWNS
i came across this video floating around the internet of a band i used to play drums for called The Breakdowns. we were supposed to play Warped Tour before i bailed out of the band. we had a lawyer, been played on KROQ, signed contracts, were on several record labels, numerous videos, and toured the states. people always compared us to Social Distortion and Rancid. two of the members in the band have played live with Green Day.
we put out a couple of full-length CDs, a DVD, and a bunch of B-Sides and demos. we played the LA circuit at clubs like The Roxy, The Rainbow, The Whiskey, The Knitting Factory, The Key Club, The Troubadour, The Cat Club, The Vine Street Lounge, The Santa Fe Cafe, The Anarchy Library, The Doll Hut, The Crest, Rockotitlan, Cafe du Nord (SF), The Zombie Lounge (SD), UC Santa Cruz, SOMA (SD). our logo was also featured in Green Days DVD 'Bullet In A Bible' and a couple of major movies. anyways, this set was dedicated to a dear friend who passed away - Marc Glimpse and was played at The Cat Club on Sunset. the song is called 'Hangover'.
here is an acoustic version of a song off of one of our full-lengths. it is called 'Keep Me Alive'. this was shot for a TV show at a studio in San Diego. i couldn't make it so they were forced to perform an acoustic version. this was everybody's favorite song.
the last video The Breakdowns ever filmed before breaking up. this video was shot after i left the band. the song is called 'Sign of the Times'. that is not me in the video.
it's crazy - people would even adorn themselves with our logos as tattoos.
Green Day's 'Bullet In A Bible' DVD.
and randomly - a flyer for one of our shows in the movie 'The Island'.
