i rarely ever go on rants on my blog.
the other day i was going through my credit card statement and i noticed a charge for $39.95 from a company i didn't recognize. the statement just had a generic website name which i typed right into my browser.
i finally got around to calling the customer support today and i gave them my credit card number and they then asked for my email address. i told the customer service representative that i have more than a few email addresses. she then read me the email address she had on file - which was completely not mine.
i began to panic and i asked her what the charge was for - to which she reluctantly replied that it was for a porn website. i began to tell her that it was in no way shape or form me. even if i was into porn websites - i wouldn't put myself under the embarrassment of calling into a call center and having to speak to someone about a porn website that i supposedly paid for.
anyways, she said that my money would be refunded and that the refund should show within 2-3 business days.
the moral of the story is: check your credit card statement!
