last year - UNIV in Encinitas, CA hosted the 'Brave Art Show' which was more of a live installation. the artists involved were Haze, Shephard Fairey, Mars1, Misk1, Rickey Powell, Andy Howell, Kelsey Brooks, and Revok, Saber, and Retna from The Seventh Letter Crew. the guys representing The Seventh Letter Crew performed a live installation in which they painted pieces on the spot over an 8 hour period before the show. check out the time-lapse video i've provided. live paintings and installations are such a lost practice but it is very cool to see that such respected artists are bringing them back.
